Four days in Cairo for travellers who would rather do it properly than quickly.
You are met at Cairo airport and driven to your hotel, and the first evening is a Nile dinner cruise — the gentlest possible introduction to a city that can be overwhelming on arrival.
Day two is the big one: the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, and then the Grand Egyptian Museum for Tutankhamun's golden mask and the colossus of Ramses II.
